Theme and Design

Scourge of Rome transports players to the era of the Second Punic War, where Hannibal Barca leads his legendary army across towering mountains toward the Roman Empire. Rather than focusing on gladiators and Roman arenas, Play’n GO recreates the famous Alpine campaign, delivering a refreshing historical setting filled with rugged landscapes, snow-covered peaks, and marching armies.

The cinematic backdrop evolves as gameplay progresses, showcasing icy mountain passes, military encampments, and dramatic battle preparations. Hannibal himself frequently appears throughout the game alongside his famous war elephant, reinforcing the game’s authentic historical atmosphere.

Symbols include military weapons, ancient artifacts, armored warriors, elephants, royal card symbols, powerful Hannibal Wilds, and Scatter icons. Detailed animations, epic orchestral music, and realistic battle sound effects combine to create an immersive experience that perfectly captures the intensity of Hannibal’s campaign.

Slot Structure

• Reels: 6
• Rows: 4
• Ways to Win: 4,096

Winning combinations are formed by matching identical symbols from the leftmost reel across adjacent reels, while Wild symbols substitute for regular paying symbols to complete winning combinations.

How to Play

Scourge of Rome supports wagers ranging from €0.10 to €100 per spin, making it suitable for both casual players and experienced slot enthusiasts. The highest available RTP reaches 96.20%, although several alternative RTP versions are available depending on the casino.

Winning combinations are formed by matching symbols from left to right across adjacent reels. Premium historical symbols deliver the highest regular payouts, while royal card symbols provide more frequent smaller rewards during base gameplay.

The primary objective is triggering the game’s special features. Hannibal Wilds, Wild Flip transformations, and Free Spins featuring sticky Elephant symbols combine to produce the slot’s largest winning opportunities.

Symbols and Payouts

High-Paying Symbols – Ancient Military Icons

Hannibal Wild

Hannibal Wild symbols appear on reels two through five and substitute for every regular paying symbol except the Scatter. Multiple Hannibal Wilds may also activate the Wild Flip feature, significantly improving winning opportunities.

Scatter Symbol

Scatter symbols can land across the reels and trigger the Free Spins feature. Landing three or more Scatters awards bonus spins while unlocking the game’s evolving reel mechanics and sticky Elephant feature.
