Desert Treasure 2

Desert Treasure 2 Slot Review

Desert Treasure 2 is an adventure-themed online slot developed by Playtech and designed as an upgraded continuation of the original Desert Treasure game. Set in a mysterious desert filled with hidden riches, ancient secrets, and valuable artifacts, the slot invites players to explore a treasure-hunting journey across the reels. As the symbols spin, players encounter Bedouins, camels, oases, and special bonus icons while chasing larger rewards in a richly themed desert setting.

Desert Treasure 2 keeps the classic treasure-hunting atmosphere of the first game while improving the visuals and feature set. The slot features 5 reels and up to 20 adjustable paylines, giving players control over how many lines they want to activate before spinning. With a maximum payout of up to 10,000x the bet and an RTP of 96.21%, the game delivers a strong mix of classic line-based gameplay, expanding wilds, scatter-triggered free spins, and a multi-level Oasis Bonus feature. These additions make it a more rewarding and visually polished sequel for players who enjoy themed adventure slots.

Theme and Design

Desert Treasure 2 is built around a classic desert treasure-hunting theme. The game places players in a mysterious sandy landscape where hidden wealth, ancient maps, and exotic desert symbols create the feeling of an archaeological adventure.

The background features a warm desert environment filled with golden tones and themed details that reflect the treasure-hunting setting. Symbols such as Bedouins, camels, oases, maps, and desert-themed portraits help reinforce the atmosphere, while the improved graphics make the game feel more polished than the original version.

Base Game Mechanics

During the base game, players spin the reels hoping to land matching symbols across the selected paylines. When the required number of matching symbols appears from the first reel onward, a payout is awarded according to the paytable.

The slot includes an expanding wild symbol, a scatter symbol, and a bonus symbol, each of which adds extra depth to the gameplay. The wild expands to cover the entire reel, making it more useful than a standard substitute symbol. The scatter can pay anywhere on the reels and trigger free spins, while the bonus symbol opens the Oasis Bonus feature.

Symbols and Payouts

Desert Treasure 2 includes symbols inspired by desert exploration, local characters, and card ranks.

High-Paying Symbols

The premium symbols are the main treasure-hunting icons.

• Bedouin
• Oasis
• Camel

The Bedouin portrait is the highest-paying regular symbol in the game and can award up to 10,000x the bet. The Oasis can pay up to 500x, while the Camel can award up to 400x depending on the combination.

Wild Symbol

The Snake acts as the wild symbol in the game.

When it appears, the wild expands to cover the entire reel. It substitutes for all regular symbols except the scatter and bonus icon. Although the snake does not pay on its own, it is extremely useful for completing multiple winning combinations across the active paylines.

Scatter Symbol

The Girl portrait acts as the scatter.

Scatter symbols pay regardless of paylines. If 2, 3, 4, or 5 scatters land anywhere on the reels, the total bet is multiplied by 2x, 5x, 50x, or 500x respectively.

Regular Symbols

Lower-value symbols include standard card ranks.

• A
• K
• Q
• J
• 10
• 9

These symbols appear more frequently and offer smaller payouts ranging from 5x to 200x depending on the symbol and the number landed.

Bonuses & Special Features

Desert Treasure 2 includes several bonus features that increase winning potential and add more variety to the gameplay.

Scatter Free Spins Feature

Landing at least 3 Girl scatter symbols anywhere on the reels triggers 15 free spins.

During the free spins round, all wins are doubled, making the bonus significantly more valuable than the base game. Since scatters can also pay separately when they appear, they are one of the most useful symbols in the game.

Oasis Bonus Feature

Landing at least 3 Compass symbols with a map on an active line activates the Oasis Bonus.

During this feature, 7 chests appear on the screen. Players choose 3, 4, or 5 chests, depending on how many bonus symbols triggered the round. Each chest contains a hidden cash prize with payout multipliers ranging from 10x to 100x.

Second-Level Bonus

If a treasure map is found in one of the chests, players advance to the second stage of the bonus.

At this stage, players choose between two locations:

• Hidden Sanctum – featuring 7 vases
• Secret Tent – featuring fruit bowls

In both locations, players again pick 3, 4, or 5 items, depending on the original trigger. Hidden multipliers in this second stage range from 10x to 80x, providing another opportunity to increase the overall reward.

This multi-level structure makes the Oasis Bonus the most interactive part of the slot.

RTP & Volatility

• RTP (Return to Player): 96.21%
• Volatility: Medium

Desert Treasure 2 offers a balanced gameplay profile with steady line wins and occasional larger rewards through free spins and the Oasis Bonus. The RTP is strong, giving the game good long-term value compared with many themed online slots.

Mobile Compatibility

Desert Treasure 2 is fully optimized for smartphones, tablets, and desktop devices. The interface adjusts automatically to different screen sizes while keeping the reels, controls, and feature menus easy to access.

Players can change paylines, adjust bets, use autoplay, and access the bonus features using straightforward touchscreen controls. The game performs smoothly on most modern devices while preserving its updated desert visuals.

Tips to Play

• Use the maximum number of paylines to improve winning chances
• Watch for 3 or more scatters to trigger 15 doubled free spins

• Use balanced bet sizes for longer sessions and steadier play
